The St Ives difference

A club since 1923, on a links built in 2010

A golfer on the tee, driver on the shoulder, looking down the fairway

The club's history goes back to 1923. In 2007 it bought a 230-acre site off the Needingworth Road, and Cameron Sinclair's inland links opened there, at Giffords Farm, in 2010: eighteen holes, fully drained and irrigated, with greens built to USGA specification.

Eighteen holes, three practice areas, padel, and a clubhouse bar and restaurant that looks out over the course and across Cambridgeshire.

The greens are built to USGA specification and sown with velvet bent grass, with a putting green to the same specification beside the range.

Course overview

Drained, irrigated, sand-capped

Every fairway is fully drained and irrigated and capped with 40 mm of sand, for golf through the year.

Course overview

Paths from every tee

Paths run between every tee and fairway and from each green to the next tee, so trolleys and buggies go out almost all year. Electric buggies and trolleys are for hire for nine holes, eighteen or the day.
